In Store Exchange and Return Policy

We understand customers may wish to return a purchase or product.

Please present proof of purchase and the item/s in its original condition with tags attached within 5 business days and we will happily provide you with an exchange or a gift card for the purchase price of the item/s you return.

Sale or reduced items will not be accepted for a return, an exchange may be offered.

Returns will be completed using the same payment method used for the original transaction.

Note: Swimwear, underwear, earrings, sunglasses, skincare, personal care items, consumable goods and custom orders cannot be returned or exchanged.

Full Exchange and Return Terms and Conditions

Here at Thomas’s Department Store, we understand that you may wish to return an item or purchase from time to time. You have 5 business days, from original date of purchase, to complete an in-store exchange or return. Online exchanges or returns must be returned to us for processing within 10 days, from original date of purchase. All exchanges, store credits or returns will need to be accompanied by the original proof of purchase.

All returns will be made via the same payment method originally used to complete the order.

Should an item be deemed faulty, and we cannot repair or replace the item, you will be entitled to an exchange, credit, or refund.

In all instances, we will do our best to accommodate you given the following conditions are met:

In Store Returns

  • Full price items are eligible for an exchange or a store credit.
  • Clothing and footwear tried on instore will only be exchanged for a store credit.
  • All products must be returned unwashed, unworn, clean and in original condition.
  • All items must be returned with original swing tag or price tag, and in the original packaging or box.
  • Swimwear, underwear, earrings, sunglasses, skincare, personal care items, consumable goods and custom orders will not be returned or exchanged.
  • For purchases made in November and December as Christmas gifts, we allow until the 10th of January the following year to exchange, if all other exchange conditions have been met.
  • When requesting a return on a purchase made with a Thomas’s Rewards voucher, the Rewards Voucher redeemed will be returned to you as a Rewards Voucher.
  • Note: Rewards Vouchers have a 3-month expiry and will not be honored if expired.
  • Faulty product will be handled in alignment with current NZ laws.

 

Online Returns

To complete an online purchase for an exchange or return, please contact our office via email at orders@thomass.co.nz. Please include your order number and reason for your request, along with any supporting images if applicable.

  • Full price items are eligible for an exchange or store credit.
  • Clothing and footwear must be returned unwashed, unworn, clean and in original condition.
  • All items must be returned with original swig tag or price tag, and in the original packaging or box.
  • Swimwear, underwear, earrings, sunglasses, skincare, personal care items, consumable goods and custom orders will not be returned or exchanged.
  • Thomas’s Department Store does not cover the shipping costs associated with retuning an item. We recommend using a trackable courier service to reduce the risk of lost packages.
  • Faulty product will be handled in alignment with current NZ laws.
  • When requesting a return on a purchase made with a Thomas’s Rewards voucher, the Rewards Voucher redeemed will be returned to you as a Rewards Voucher. Note: Rewards Vouchers have a 3-month expiry and will not be honored if expired.
  • To arrange the return or exchange of a large item, please contact our office via email at orders@thomass.co.nz.

 

Afterpay

  • Afterpay purchases are subject to the Thomas’s Exchange and Return Policy.
  • If a return or credit has been requested, any remained scheduled payments will be adjusted/cancelled, and any completed instalments will be refunded to you via the payment platform.
  • Return payments are subject to the processing times of Afterpay.
  • Please visit the Afterpay Website for terms and conditions for each individual payment method.

 

Please note:

All international orders should contact us regarding customs clearance before placing an order. Return freight costs are not covered by Thomas’s.

Until an item is received by Thomas’s, it is your responsibility.

EARNING THOMAS’S REWARDS

Thomas’s Reward’s are accumulated through purchases online and in-store. The calculation of the amount spent are based on the total purchase amount after any discounts, returns or adjustments are made.

Purchases of gift vouchers do not qualify for Thomas’s Rewards.

You'll be able to redeem it for a unique discount code. We will email this to you at the beginning of the month if you have earnt one.

You can use your discount code during checkout. Just copy and paste your unique code into the Discount bar and click 'Apply'.

This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount.

If you would like to use your $50 Rewards Voucher in-store, please bring the email with the voucher included with you, either printed or on your device, and our team will be happy to help you.

REDEEMING THOMAS’S REWARDS

Thomas’s Reward vouchers can be redeemed on all purchases
made at a Thomas’s Department Store or online at www.thomass.co.nz, including full-price and
sale products.

Thomas’s Rewards Vouchers are non-transferrable.

Thomas’s
Rewards Vouchers are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

Thomas’s Rewards Vouchers cannot be redeemed:

• For cash, gift cards, or credit notes. 

• On the purchase from which the vouchers were generated.

• On an order after the order has been placed.

• In conjunction with any other offer.

REDEEMING THOMAS’S REWARDS BIRTHDAY TREATS:

Thomas’s Reward’s birthday treats can be redeemed on purchases of full-price or
reduced products made at Thomas’s Department store or online at www.thomass.co.nz.
Each birthday treat is only redeemable once. Birthday treats are valid for one
month only.

Thomas’s Rewards Birthday treats cannot be redeemed:

• More than once per customer

• On an order after the order has been placed

• In conjunction with any other offer.

Thomas’s Rewards Vouchers may only be used on Thomas’s
website or at Thomas’s Department Store.

Thomas’s is not responsible for any lost or misplaced
Rewards Vouchers.

Thomas’s Rewards Vouchers will not be honored past expiry
date of 3 months.

Thomas’s reserves the right to modify or cancel vouchers at
any time.

Thomas’s Rewards Vouchers can only be redeemed once. If you return items
purchased with a loyalty voucher, the voucher discount or value will be
subtracted from the return credit.

The terms of Thomas’s Rewards may be varied from time to time at the absolute
sole discretion of Thomas’s management.

We will not provide any consideration
for benefits gained or lost by these changes.

your account at any time without notice.
