Terms and Conditions
OVERVIEW
Thomas’s Rewards is our customer loyalty programme designed to thank our customers for shopping with us. Members earn reward points on eligible purchases which can be redeemed on future purchases in-store or online.
By joining and participating in Thomas’s Rewards, customers agree to the following terms and conditions.
MEMBERSHIP
Thomas’s Rewards is available to customers who have a registered customer account with Thomas’s.
Membership is free and participation in the programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Thomas’s reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership where misuse of the programme is suspected.
EARNING THOMAS'S REWARDS
Members earn Thomas’s Rewards points when making eligible purchases at Thomas’s.
Rewards are earned at the following rate:
5% for every dollar spent.
Points accumulate automatically on a member’s account when purchases are made in-store or online using the registered customer profile.
From time to time, Thomas’s may offer promotional events where members can earn bonus rewards points.
REDEEMING THOMAS'S REWARDS
Thomas’s Rewards points may be redeemed once they are available on the member’s account.
Points can be redeemed:
- In-store at Thomas’s
- Online at thomass.co.nz
Points are redeemed as a dollar-for-dollar discount on purchases.
Rewards may only be used at the time of purchase and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Thomas’s Rewards points are non-transferable and may only be used by the account holder.
POINTS EXPIRY
Thomas’s Rewards points are valid for 90 days from the date they are issued.
Points that are not redeemed within this period will automatically expire and be removed from the member’s account.
Members are responsible for redeeming their points before the expiry date.
REWARDS BALANCE
Members will receive a monthly Thomas’s Rewards summary email showing their current points balance.
Rewards balances may also be checked in-store with a member of the Thomas’s team.
TRANSITION FROM VOUCHER PROGRAMME
On 16 March 2026, Thomas’s Rewards transitioned from a voucher-based system to a points-based system.
Any rewards previously issued under the voucher programme were converted to points and added to the customer’s rewards balance.
For the purpose of this transition, 16 March 2026 is treated as the issue date for those points, meaning they will expire 90 days later on 14 June 2026 if not redeemed.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If a purchase that earned Thomas’s Rewards points is returned or refunded, the points earned from that purchase may be removed from the member’s rewards balance.
If rewards points were used to pay for part of a purchase that is later returned, the refunded amount may be adjusted accordingly.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
By joining Thomas’s Rewards, members agree to receive communications from Thomas’s relating to their account, including rewards updates, programme information, and account notifications.
Members may also receive marketing communications from Thomas’s, including news, promotions, events, and special offers.
Members may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in email communications or by contacting Thomas’s directly.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not prevent members from receiving important account-related communications.
PROGRAMME CHANGES
Thomas’s reserves the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Thomas’s Rewards programme at any time.
Where possible, members will be notified of significant changes to the programme.
GENERAL
Thomas’s Rewards points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Points cannot be transferred between accounts.
Participation in Thomas’s Rewards constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
